angela jaeger information
Angela Jaeger's musical experience covers a spectrum as diverse as the cities in which she's lived. A native New Yorker, she began singing at high school dances and subsequently studied voice and musical theatre. Later she became part of the punk scene and moved to London. During this time she recorded her first single with The Drowning Craze (Beggars Banquet) which also featured Simon Raymonde of The Cocteau Twins. She also recorded with The Monochrome Set, Billy McKenzie, the Bush Tetras and recorded 'Bali Hai' with Disconnection for Y Records.
Soon after she joined PigBag, toured Europe and Japan, recording a single and two albums (Y records). She then became a founder member of Instinct who signed to ZTT and recorded with Trevor Horn, Julian Mendelson and Luis Jardem.
Angela relocated to Barcelona where she lived for nine years Her sessions with local musicians, TV and radio work placed her at the centre of the Barcelona scene. Last year's Sonar Festival included a preview performance of her collaboration with David Cunningham, 'Artificial Homeland'.
Most recently she has been recording with Victor Sol (Fax/Hypnotism) and has relocated to New York.
